The current efforts for diversity and inclusion are predominantly human anatomy driven; namely age, sex, race etc., and only more recently neuro-diversity (Autism etc. ) got added to the mix, which is a great progression but, in our opinion is still human anatomy. This definitely is part of the problem. The current definition of diversity & inclusion does not factor in behavioral science which really is why we want diversity in the workplace. We want people from different thinking and behavioral styles in the mix to make the workplace really diverse and well rounded.
